ATILLA INTERVIEW BY BRIAN KAYSER

What's good Atilla?

I'm Chillin

Who is Atilla?

Atilla is my other side. Atilla is a raw MC who is gonna be bringing something that the game has been missing.

What does the name Atilla mean to you and why did you choose it?

When I was in school I was studying "Atilla the Hun" and Atilla was straight ruthless, and that's how I wanted to be on the mic.

How would you describe yourself as an MC?

I would describe myself as bein a focused MC. I don't bite my tounge, my bars are fierce and my delivery comes straight at you.

Where were you born and raised, and where do you rep now?

Seattle, Washington and I'm reppin' the 206

What have you dropped so far?

"Untamed and Hungry" which was my first album. "Tha Fixtape" which was my solo mixtape. I also put out "Can't Knock Tha Hustle," which was the group mixtape consisting of Young Dru and Baby Boy.

Are you working on an album?

Yea, I'm working on my solo album "Atillary," be on the lookout for that to drop early 2006.

What would be the ideal conditions under which you would want to release your album?

I'm gonna drop the album independently under my own label Hustle Ave. Entertainment unless a major label wants to release the album and is talking the right numbers.

You went on tour with the And1 team, how was that?

It was coo, I had a lot of fun.

How was it rocking at halftime?

It was exciting, I went out there and did my thing. I got love back from the crowd each night.

What's been your most memorable performance?

I have so many, but if I was to choose one it would be when I performed in Las Vegas opening up for Nelly and the St. Lunatics. I had a lot of fun.

Dow Jones just might be the realest DJ out west, how did you get down with him?

The "Untamed and Hungry" album was bubblin on the streets, I ran into him and he asked if I was down to work with him.

How has his support helped you?

He's helped me as far as opening me up into the mixtape scene.

What has been the hardest part about being independent and trying to get heard?

The hardest part is doing a lot of things yourself, without a big budget and a major label behind you, you have to work ten times harder to get yourself heard and get the respect you deserve.

What do you do to pay the bills while you're grinding on the music?

Grinding on my music pays the bills, anything from shows to slangin' my CD's. I get it any way I can get it.

What do you want your fans to take away from your music?

They can take what they want to take away from my music. Makin' music is my passion, its something I have been doing for a long time. I want my fans to be in touch with me and feel where I'm coming from.

What's your next move in this game?
Recently, I have been workin on the "Atillary" album. I'm heading down to Atlanta to cut some tracks for the album and holla at some labels that are interested in me.

Where can people hear your tracks?

HipHopGame.com, you can order a CD from Ya_HustleAve@yahoo.com
Hustle Ave Entertainment - (206) 312-1975

How can Heads get at you?

You can hit up my manager Luke Caldwell (425) 443-4844, or e-mail him at LCaldwell1234@comcast.net
