Best of Snyplife (354)

Yerrrrrrr......you know what that sound is. That's Snyplife coming down the block with a brick in his hand, bout to smack you up side the head with that sickness. To say Snyplife spits the plague is an understatement. I'm a fan of the bang bang, stick you for your re-up music. It's like how cats watch Menace II Society or King of NY, at the end of the day it's entertainment and the fact that Snyplife or any MC is as real as their lyrics just makes shit that much more authentic. I'm proud Snyplife has a best of CD because he truly grinds his ass off and it shows.

I've heard quite a few Snyplife tracks in my time so I def have my favorites. "Understand The Pain" is that concrete under your feet. Whoever made that beat was working the pot something lovely. Snyp stays with the lyrical sickness on this track, its uncut real life music. Green Lantern on the beat for "Coast 2 Coast" while Snyp, Maino and Styles P literally bring the game back. If you haven't heard "That's That" then you don't know where that AL beat originated from. St. Laz joins the party on "Big Stakes" to beat you in head with clout. Lyrically Snyp is a prime time player. I had issue with a few beats, especially the joint with J Hood. That's such an ill colabo I guess I just wanted more out of it. Same held true with "2 Guns Up", ill MCs on this track but the beat had me motionless. Regardless, once I hear "The Come Up" and "The Untouchable" that petty beat shit doesn't matter anymore.

I don't know Snyplifes label situation but he needs to have an album out this year, fuck it even an EP, something to compliment the raw emotion and the true hip hop grind he possesses. Bottom line this CD got me amped up. Shit is theme music for the masses that hit the corner every morning and stay all day getting those stacks. I wouldn't call this the best of Snyplife because it's only the beginning......to be continued.
