Born
Unique - Bad News Born
I first
saw Born Unique perform at JMU about four years ago. I thought he was
pretty gully then (even though he was wearing a Redskins jersey) and
after hanging out with him, I think he's pretty gully now. The system
couldn't hold VA's hardest white boy back, as he served his time and
came home swinging. Shuko gets the mixtape started out right with "Bad
News Born," a very violent track that finds Born sounding his best.
The Ranjahz make an appearance on "Blood Brothers," where
Born goes back and forth with them with a natural chemistry. "Stick
and Move" is another one of those tracks where the listener knows
not to bump heads with Born on a dark street, or an illuminated one
for that matter. If you like that guttaball shit Born loves to spit,
this CD won't get boring for you. And if it does, you can always try
counting the times host J-Love says the n-word.
