Inspired by the Motion Picture "A Man Apart" feat. Buddy Klein
The last
quality that I would think to attach to Vin Diesel is "Hip Hop
Head," but apparently that cat is either in touch with the underground,
or someone he knows is. Whatever the case, this is a short EP which
showcases who exactly Buddy Klein is, a hungry MC. He comes through
best on the "Nothing to Lose." I feel like this track definitely
showcases his ability as an MC best. "Let's Go" is more of
a party track, and "Starboy" is a decent track. The tracks
were produced by recent G-Unit signee Jeruz, so look for more from this
cat in the future. After the three studio tracks, there is a radio interview
with Buddy Klein, which is definitely needed here. Honestly, this is
the first time I heard of this cat, and this interview gives some good
background as to who he is, such as he's from North Carolina and that
he's been pimpin' since '72. This isn't the best interview, but at least
it gives Heads a little info on this cat. Then the radio DJ asks Buddy
Klein to go into a freestyle, which doesn't really sound like a freestyle
at all. The album ends with two instrumentals, of "Nothing to Lose"
and "Let's Go."
