Why bother describing Tame when he does it himself. The former Artifacts member is coming back with his solo debut on Eastern Conference Records. Comin from Brick City like Manifest Destiny and Redman, Tame One is repping the Garden State with creative lyrics and good production. J-Zone, RJD2, Mighy Mi, and Johnny Dangerous laced Tame some nice beats, and he comes through with some nice lyrics. Cage is the only MC to touch the mic besides Tame. Just think of the possibility if J-Zone rocked the mic.

Some tight tracks include "When Rappers Attack" and "Heat." "Iz It Me" is a nice cut that talks about the sell out rappers, where Tame doesn't break any fresh ground with the content. He's kicks some good points though about the wackness of music videos, how he's askin artists to at least have their videos relate to the song. Point well taken.

Johnny Dangerous lays down the beat for this one. A bonus cut on the album is "Homage to the Bomberz." Calm down herbs, its not a tribute to terrorists and shit like that, its dedicated to graf artists. Hip Hop needs more integration of the various modes of expression, and it's tight when artists pay tribute to other genres.

"Concerto" is a tight track to listen to just to hear the way Tame travels through his verses. He's dropping similies and metaphors like it's his job, which it really is. It's a really short track, but it's a quality listen. Don't expect Tame to get deep and philosophical on the mic, but he's got a style that holds a Head's interest because you're just waiting to see what he's gonna rhyme next. If you're looking for some reflective tyoe hip hop, this album ain't for you, but if you like the straight-up rhyming, strong wordplay-type album, give Tame a listen.
