THE COMPANY INTERVIEW BY BRIAN KAYSER

Who makes up "The Company?"

D'ville, Charlie Brown & Young E

What does The Company bring to the table of the game right now?

C. Brown: A different feel of music and the ability to be diverse. I think we have the element of surprise because the game won't know what to think of this combo.

D'ville: We make music you can relate to. I think the game is missing that, plus its 2 rappers and 1 singer
Young E: We got the soul of hip hop, you got the crunk, reggaeton, pop, conscious, gangsta, etc..; We got our own movement, "Soul Hop" which is Hip-Hop from the soul. If it's hardcore, commercial, whatever. It's coming from our SOUL.

Why choose that name?

Young E: Because we all bring different things to the table. We're businessmen before recording artist and entertainers. Every company is known for something special they got. Our Brand is simply "The Company" because we want to be "The Company" you come to for that special thing you need.

What is your writing process like?

C.Brown: The Chemistry is CRAZY, you got 3 talented artists, with 3 ideas, but when you put it together you get 1 hot concept. We put the beat on and get at it; it's all about the music. We do what the beat tells us, if it's some commercial shit, or whatever It's never forced.

Who would you look to as your musical influences?

D'ville: My biggest influences are Old School heads like Stevie Wonder, "MJ", Ray Charles, then new cats like Usher, JE, 112; I've been influenced by a lot of artist.
C.Brown: Of course Banks,Kiss, Jay-Z, Biggie, Pac, Fab, Cassidy etc…all the usual dudes.

Young E: T.I, Young Jeezy,Jae Millz, Juelz Santana, The Game, Lil Wayne etc…I listen to all types of music, from Rock, Pop, etc…I like good music

What have you released so far?

D'ville: We just dropped our latest mixtape "It's Not a Game" hosted by Big Nad, also a few compilations, and underground video's with 23 productions and Bellacine Productions. A couple singles to radio like "G", "Put ya Shoes on" and "Real Hip Hop". Various features and collaborations. We always working.

What's coming up for you?

C Brown: Working on our debut Album "Big Business", planning the release of our next single "Jump" produced by D.C.Y.O of D.R.E.E.M productions. We got the Movie "Big Business" to be released along with the CD. We got the Soundtrack for that, as well as our next Mixtape .Just steady working. Planning a small promotional tour within the southern region of the states. Trying to establish our presence in this music Industry.
